Thankfully Jason Kottke is doing a marvellous job of collating all the best pieces on his blog. <a title=\"Kottke Dot Org\" href=\"http:\/\/kottke.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Go and read them.<\/a>\u00a0I will stay a bit more &#8216;on brand&#8217; and focus on the less important technology and innovation stuff. These door desks are not great ergonomically nor do they fit with Amazon.com\u2019s $100+ billion market capitalization, but when a shocked new employee asks why she must work on a makeshift desk constructed out of random Home Depot parts, the answer comes back with withering consistency: \u201cWe look for every opportunity to save money so that we can deliver the best products for the lowest cost.\u201d If you don\u2019t like sitting at a door, then you won\u2019t last long at Amazon.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Socialist leaders?\" href=\"http:\/\/petervan.wordpress.com\/2012\/12\/15\/the-end-of-leadership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The End Of Leadership<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;But over time, I have become suspicious and bitter about these perfectly casted people. In many\u00a0organisations\u00a0I have seen how cheer-\u201cleaders\u201d joyfully smile in the face of their subordinates and at the same time put a knife in the back of the same human beings.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Tumblin' all over the world\" href=\"http:\/\/hautepop.tumblr.com\/post\/38101923148\/reblogs-and-content-sharing-on-tumblr-a-personal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Reblogs and content sharing on Tumblr: a personal network analysis<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Tumblr Analytics does exist, but not for ordinary users [&#8230;]\u00a0This leaves Tumblr a kind of \u201chere be dragons\u201d among social networks, which is unusual in an age so obsessed with them.
